We recommend drawing out your foam stamp stencils so that you can make sure you like the pattern! For this project, each stamp is created on an 8” x 8” piece of foam. Using a pencil and ruler, mark 8″ onto your high density foam and carefully cut with your sharpest scissors.

Cut your desired patterns onto the foam tiles.

Once your stamps are made, it’s time to get painting! Brush paint in your desired color onto the foam, and gently stamp onto a flat tray, such as a disposable aluminum tray, to get any excess off.

Apply painter’s tape and begin stamping your wall

Use a tape measure and level to lightly draw 8” x 8” squares onto the wall to ensure all of your lines are straight. Apply painter’s tape on the borders of the wall for clean lines. Then, begin stamping your patterns onto the wall— it may look light and messy at first, but this is normal!

Refine your patterns as needed and allow to dry fully

Refine your patterns as needed and allow to dry fully

Refine your patterns by applying a few more light coats of paint using other sponges and small paint brushes as needed. Allow to dry fully for at least 24 hours, and remove the painter’s tape to reveal your gorgeous geometric accent wall!
